REPORT ON OUR 2011 SHOW

BRITISH CAR & MOTOR BIKE SHOW

The club's 9th Annual British car show was held July 24, 2011. There was a break in the heat, with temp in the mid 80s, and there were a couple of sprinkles but nothing like last year.

BCCNEPA featured two marques this year, the Daimler and the Jaguar XKE, this being the 50th anniversary of Jaguar, and there was a nice turn out of both marques. Thanks to both the Daimler & Lanchester Owners Club of North America and the Austin Healey Drivers Club, with member Jim & Jeanne Nicholas from Clarks Summit, for helping us to feature their cars at this year's show.

There were many British cars this year that were new to the show. Ron & Lisa Roberts' 1958 Morgan +4, a show winner; Ralf Grant's 1960 Morgan, first place winner; Steven Landraf's 1967 MGN, first place winner; Dave Hopkins' 1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite racer, winner of the Al Lipperini Modified Award; George Bennett's 1948 Daimler DB18, first place winner. And we and we can't forget the 1933 Rolls Royce of Nicole Kim that won Best of Show.

There were 85 cars in total at this year's British car show.

Thanks to Beth Koehler for selling the 50/50 tickets this year. This year's payout was $167. Thanks to all who donated door prizes and raffle items.

Club volunteers prepared and served the food at this year's show, and did an outstanding job. A special thanks to Gail Decker, Jenny Cooney and Carol Shamonsky and their helpers. Thanks to the club grillmasters Ken Cooney and Russ Cramer.

We enjoyed the music of the Rossi-McGurI Project for the sixth year. The regalia sales just about sold out this year, and BCCNEPA also signed up six new members at the show. Welcome, new members, and congratulations to all of this year's show winners, listed below.

Thanks and appreciation to all club members who provided equipment and volunteered to help work the show. Without all the members' help and support, the show would not have been a great success. Thanks you all!
